Montreal bull

I'm pretty sure these are connected and relate to political issues surrounding attempts to get Montreal to operate with more unity, right?  Our friend Amanda contributed these and possibly could explain.  I'm liking the anthromorphification of Montreal as a bull... or would that be faunamorphifocation?:

    This is me trying to remember my History of Montreal class from about 10 years ago... but the island at one point merged into a controversial (what isn't?!) "mega-city." But then wikipedia says that it de-merged (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Montreal#Merger_and_demerger), so I don't know what to believe any more!
